doobie brothers beacon theatre thursday night 11/15/18
amazing show by doobies at beacon theatre, 10 piece band led by tom johnston and
pat simmons. 3 lead guitars alternating all night long, with johnston singing lead on 9
out of first ten songs. 10 minute internission followed by pat simmons singing lead
on several songs, along with excellent guitar work from simmons,johnston and john
mcfee.
mcafee was like mccartney and winwood combined, playing lead and rhythm guitar,
vocals, violin, banjo, pedal steel and more. excellent sax player mark russo shined,
along with 2 excellent drummers, one borrowed from the allman brothers band.
also two additional horn players from steely dan. entire toulouse street and the
captain and me albums played, plus extra hits. 3 encores of take me in your arms,
black water, and listen to the music which started and ended the show, a nice touch
there. one of the best concerts my wife and i have seen in a long while. do net's miss
them tonight again at the beacon as they close out their tour. a really big fan.

joe walsh and eddie money at mohegan sun
excellent show for vet's aid november 2017. eddie money and his family band were
quite good. jesse money excellent vocalist, is eddie's daughter. also his sons on guitar
and drums did well. eddie still sounds great, and they played some new songs, along
with all his old hit rockers. joe walsh was phenomenal on guitar and vocals. joe vitale
on drums, also another drummer and guitar player were quite good. back-up singers
all sounded terrific. all told joe walsh is better than ever from his james gang days,
barnstorm era, eagles, and right up to the present. ... Read more
