Thank you Cincinnati Ballet for a beautiful and captivating production of The Nutcracker. I took my adult daughter, 6 year old granddaughter, and her 6 year old friend to the show. We all were entranced by the dancers, the costumes, the set, and the music! For years, my own mother brought my family and me to experience The Nutcracker. What a treat that was!. And, while the performance has changed, we LOVED the creativity and the updates made. We were all smiles throughout the entire show. To watch my granddaughter’s delight touched my heart. So very grateful!!!

The Nutcracker ballet was stunningly beautiful! We took our granddaughters ages 5 and 2. They were totally entranced..swaying with the music and clapping with joy every time they could.We had them watch a short movie the night before so they knew the story. Our seats were in the balcony and they had boosters. They could see everything .Ellee, the 5 year old, commented on every dancer saying "She's the Best" They thanked us over and over and want to go again! Can't wait for Beauty and the Beast!! They want to be ballerinas! We had dinner at Nada's. It was a very special day, just grandparents and girls!

My adult daughters and I were so excited to see the nutcracker. We haven’t gone together in years. The stage and performers were perfection. The version performed this year Was less than perfect. We felt that the changes , really downgraded the show. We are not sure why, the director ( or whomever) would add such odd characters to such a classic holiday ballet. Adding comic relief is not necessary or appropriate for the Nutcracker. Very disappointed with the addition of the poodles, Fiona, the Bearcat, and chickens. So strange.

The Nutcracker ballet on December 15 at Music Hall was a huge disappointment. If I had known they had changed it to some silly variety show I would have never gone. What a sad joke and total waste of time and money. The nutcracker theme was lost.
