What The Is Nutcracker About?
It's Christmas Eve and not a creature is stirring, not even a mouse... Except for Clara that is! The little girl at the center of the story creeps downstairs to check on her newest toy, a nutcracker given to her by her uncle, cruelly broken by her mischievous little brother. Much to her surprise, when the clock strikes midnight, the Nutcracker comes to life! Together they enter an enchanted world where they battle the Mouse King and dance with the Sugarplum fairy - all in a hard day's Christmas Eve night.

Beautiful and captivating!
Thank you Cincinnati Ballet for a beautiful and captivating production of The Nutcracker. I took my adult daughter, 6 year old granddaughter, and her 6 year old friend to the show. We all were entranced by the dancers, the costumes, the set, and the music! For years, my own mother brought my family and me to experience The Nutcracker. What a treat that was!. And, while the performance has changed, we LOVED the creativity and the updates made. We were all smiles throughout the entire show. To watch my granddaughter’s delight touched my heart. The Nutcracker ballet was stunningly beautiful! We took our
granddaughters ages 5 and 2. They were totally entranced..swaying
with the music and clapping with joy every time they could.We had
them watch a short movie the night before so they knew the story.
Our seats were in the balcony and they had boosters. They could
see everything .Ellee, the 5 year old, commented on every dancer
saying "She's the Best" They thanked us over and over and want to
go again! Can't wait for Beauty and the Beast!! They want to be
ballerinas! We had dinner at Nada's. It was a very special day, just
