Sanaz Toossi, the award-winning Iranian-American playwright behind Wish You Were Here, is back with her new play English. A moving comedy set in Iran, the play follows four adults studying for a test in the English language, which for them could open the door to freedom and a future.

Humorously exploring the nuances in language which native speakers often are oblivious to, English finds the characters preparing for a new future whilst tackling the subtleties which could hinder their ability to express themselves.
